The Morgan County Library is a part of the Uncle Remus Regional Library System. The library provides the citizens of Morgan County with reciprocal borrowing privileges with all libraries within the Regional Library System. Likewise, the Morgan County Library lends materials to citizens of all other counties within the Regional Library System.

Of notable interest at the Morgan County Library is "The Briar Patch Critters" that sit on the front patio at the facility. The "Critters" were originally designed for the entrance of the Lenox Square Shopping Mall (Atlanta, Georgia) in 1958 by Julian Harris. During a renovation in the late seventies the figures were moved and their fate was uncertain. Mrs. Chris Lambert, former member of the library board and lifelong supporter of preservation causes, successfully campaigned to have the "Critters" donated to the Uncle Remus Regional Library System in Madison. They were placed in a park setting next to the Morgan County Library. When the Morgan County Library was renovated, it was decided to move the "Critters" from the park to the front "patio" of the library. The "Critters" now greet patrons as they enter the Morgan County Library.
